About us

EUROPULS - Center of European Expertise is a non-governmental organization founded in 2010 by a group of Romanian experts in EU affairs. Its aim is to promote the process of European integration in Romania and to contribute to the development of a European civic space in Romania. 

Europuls seeks to encourage public debates on European topics through articles and studies, as well as by organizing debates, workshops, and conferences. Participants to these events include European Commissioners, Members of the European Parliament, members of the national parliaments, political leaders, civil society representatives, experts, journalists, academia.
Europuls, founded on March 15, 2010, is officially registered in Romania and is completely independent from any political body.

We promote the continued European integration of Romania and the gradual assumption of its role as a mature EU member state, both in terms of state institutions and society as a whole. We believe in a united Europe, and that is why we promote the continuation and deepening of the European Union’s construction. We understand the complexity of European institutions and policies, and we strive to explain them to the widest possible audience in an interactive manner through debates between citizens and decision-makers, workshops, analysis and articles on European policies.

Europuls the initiator and main organiser of EUROSFAT, the largest annual forum in Romania dedicated to debates on European affairs. The 10th edition of the EUROSFAT Forum was designated the national winner of the European Charlemagne Youth Prize. In 2023, the EUROSFAT Forum gained a regional dimension and it was organised in 2 regions from Romania and 4 regions of the Republic of Moldova. In 2024, the event took on a global dimension under the title EUROSFAT 2024: Global Forum on Modern Direct Democracy, organised for the first time in Eastern Europe. In partnership with Democracy International, Europuls brought together in Bucharest a diverse global community of over 500 experts, decision-makers, journalists and activists. In 2025, EUROSFAT received the 1st prize in the category ”Young People of Good”, awarded during the Civil Society Gala.

In 2024, Europuls launched the RO33înUE platform, available on its website, which allows citizens to track the activity of Romania's 33 Members of the European Parliament and access information, analyses and clear explanations of the initiatives they support and their votes in the European Parliament.

Among the projects and events developed by Europuls are COHERO4EU, the Community of Young European Leaders, EU4Global, Youth Empowerment Universal Franchise, Young Demo and the Europuls Bootcamp.
